Bulls Vs Lakers Game History

How Many Times have the Bulls and Lakers Played each other?

As of this blog post 8/11/2020, the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers have played each other in the regular season a total of 155 times with the Los Angeles Lakers wilnning in 92 of those games and the Chicago Bulls winning in 63 of those games/

That would put the Bulls record against the Lakers at an abysmal 63-92 and the Lakers record against the Bulls at a very health 92-68.

The two teams have also met in the post season 28 times with the Lakers also leading that head to head 17-11.

The first time that the Lakers and Bulls met in the regular season was in the 1966-1967 NBA season. This happens to also be the year that the Chicago Bulls were founded. The two teams played each other 9 times that year and the Lakers won the season series 6-3.

Both teams have had tremendous success in the NBA,  in addition to having both won several championships, They both have more than one player represented in the NBA top 50 at 50 all time greatest players list.

Magic vs Michael: The Finals

In the 1990-91 NBA season the Chicago Bulls finally were able to beat the dreaded Detroit Pistons, who had knocked them out of the playoffs the previous 3 seasons. The rivalry between the Bulls Pistons was so great, and the two teams were so talanted that some fans couldn't help but think that no matter what, the winner of the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals between the two teams  would eventualy go on to win the 1991 NBA Finals, and it didn't matter who the Western Conference representative would be.

Well as stated above, the Bulls, who were led by Michael Jordan did win the Eastern Conference Finals that year and they would go on to play the Los Angeles Lakers, who were led ny Magic Johnson.

Bulls fans had a "not again" feeling, referring to the cities collective success in not being able to win championships  when the Lakers took the first game of the series 93-91. But Michael Jordan and the Bulls were too strong and they went on to win the next 4 games and take the series for their first ever NBA championship. Michael Jordan would go on to tell the public later that he knew when the Bulls lost the first game by only 2 points, despite being nervous and the team playing horrible that they would have the Lakers number rest of the series.

These days the rivalry is not that interesting because the Bulls have been suffering from losing seasons. Bulls vs Lakers tickets are definatley more poular when the Lakers come to Chicago because the Lakers are a premier NBA talant and it is one of the must see live games for Chicago Bulls fans at the United Center. When the Bulls visit the Lakers these days in Los Angeles, it is considered one of the bargain games for fans wishing to purchase Los Angeles Lakers tickets. For Bulls fans wishing to purchase Chicago Bulls tickets, almost all games are seeing the lowest ticket prices that they have seen in years on the secondary market, except for a handful of premier games, like the Los Angeles Lakers.
